Stand With Doosan Workers Struggle

Workers of Doosan Power Systems are striking work against the anti worker practices of the management. The management formed a separate union under its own control and unleashed suppression against union office bearers. Workers are burdened with increase work load, discrimination in wage hike, deploying contract workers in production and other activities.

On behalf of IT employees NDLF IT Employees Wing expresses support  to the striking Doosan workers.

      The workers are doing strike without any valid reasons. They are getting maximum benefits from the company yet only a portion of the workers are against the management and they are doing unlawlful strike.

      People who studied only 2nd stanadard are getting handful salary along with high standard benefits and the company is doing we ll ahead of other companies.

      But these people are doing against the judegement as well.

      If these kind of strike is encouraged, then there will not be any companiesin Tamilnadu.

        It is fair that you should introduce yourself and state what is your relation to the company. We see photos in which 10s of workers are sitting in and fighting together, but you say it is “only a portion”. You also slander the workers as “who studied only 2nd standard”. Your language clearly shows your bias against the workers and working class.

        In our opinion, we can not have companies coming in offering low quality jobs without any democratic rights to workers. We want companies with all legally guaranteed rights to workers – right to form unions, negotiate collectively and fight for workers rights.

    I am not against the workers but the workers should have some thought before going against the company. There may be factory laws which has right for us to strike but workers should not trouble other workers to stop working. The workers doing strike are doing this regularly.. Do those people think about their own future?. Nothing will come without struggle.. Company is providing all facilities insurance/salary all other benefits better than other competitor companies. Simply raising their own hand against doesn’t mean that they are right..

    We should work and then get paid and should not expect more increment/salary without working.

    1. 1. How do you know the workers did not think before going on strike? The strike action was decided by the union taking into account many factor. Here you are making wild, unsubstantiated statements.

      2. Yes, right to strike is a democratic right available to workers.

      3. Who is right, should be decided in talks between management and workers. If management refuses to talk or is unreasonable in meeting demands, workers have not option than to strike.

      4. Who is getting money without working? Workers always work and earn their money. Managers and owners only get large amount of money for least effort. So please do not preach about working to workers – we are workers by definition, not capitalists earning interest or profit for doing nothing.

      You have not still introduced yourself – are you a worker at the plant? or a manager? or a HR? or a third party?

        Managers are paid without work and workers are working more and paid less? How will you pay for a doctor, sweeper, mason, engineers, lawyers?the same amount? Workers are doing more work so will you pay more to worker than a lawyer appearing on court? Or an engineer who only monitors the work?.. There should be some logic on your demand..

        1. How much work Mukesh Ambani did to have a Rs 5000 crore house? million times more than a doctor? billion times more than a machine operator? trillion times more than a construction worker?

          How much work owner of factory does to have Rs 1 crore house? Why the worker has to live in a Rs 7,000 rented house?

    Also workers managers are also same..they are not different.. Everyone has their own education and experience.. Everyone should come up in life.. It will come gradually.. Even today managers were also get low salaries when they were a beginner.. So everything will not come in one single day..

    OK.. Then if you are staying in a house worth 50laks, will you give a house worth 50lakhs to your house maid along with your salary?
